Earthquakes strike without warning, life-protecting initiatives and action must be taken immediately at the first indication of ground shaking. There will not be time to think through what to do. All earthquake preparedness measures, earthquake drills are essential. This day, March 10, 2022 9:00 AM LGU-Loon joined the National Simultaneous Earthquake Drill (NSED) at Municipal Hall Complex
The main purpose is to help staff and employees learn how to REACT immediately and appropriately and determine the following:
– What dangers to expect during an earthquake.
– What quake-safe actions to take during an earthquake.
– How to conduct office/department drills.
– How to develop procedures for evacuating the municipal building after an earthquake.
– How to practice and evaluate the effectiveness of the earthquake drills.
The LGU-Loon employees followed the 6-Phase Flow of Activities:
ALARM → RESPONSE → EVACUATION → ASSEMBLY → HEAD COUNT → EVALUATION
